I so appreciate your courage and transparency in sharing a piece so deeply vulnerable. It creates such a genuine space, and I resonate deeply with your reflection on the importance of writing what is true, even when it feels exposed. There is a power in that honesty, and I believe it fosters a rich understanding. Thank you for sharing your mermaid heart with us.

There is such profound power in authenticity. If you read my Letter from Love last Sunday, you’ll know: doubt belongs to the conditioned mind — clarity can only arise from the soul. And you, dearest, are exploring this in a beautiful way.

Mmmmm, Jay! "Doubt belongs to the conditioned mind." That is so delicious. And this, "Clarity can only arise from the soul." Absolute truth.

I have been off LFL and this platform for the past month while I was in CA, I barely managed to post. ;) But hearing you reference your letter, my heart was tugged in the best way and I am looking forward to being there with you and the other lovelets again soon. ♥️♥️♥️

Oh my god, Jocelyn.

"As if our parting were real

As if she wasn’t the blood

and the marrow,

the intake

and the exhale,

of my mermaid heart." Aghhhhhhhhh. Sometimes words about other people's perfect words don't exist. 🙏😭🩵

Beautiful in its vulnerability. If people can’t handle it, maybe they need to grow a little and that’s ok. Also, love this album💜.

Thank you for the kind words. And yes! I love this, "maybe they need to grow a little and that’s ok." Oh that album breaks my heart with its beauty in the best way possible. This older guy I dated in college introduced me to George and I will be forever grateful. I saw him play several times live and they were some of the great joys of my life. ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve never seen him live. I was introduced to him in college, as well. Every autumn one of my favorite things to do is put on the autumn album. It just takes me right back to so many memories. Glad you got to see him!

This is supremely gorgeous. Thank you for not hiding. The sensuality is exquisite. And real. Life is sensual. I am working on not hiding from it too because I feel it in everything. There is no denying that. Let it be.

Thank you ✨

Thank you, Shaista and you are so welcome. It's comments like all of these that make me feel safe not hiding. More than safe, free and true and healed. Like soul blessings each one of them. And thank you for saying this, "I am working on not hiding from it too because I feel it in everything." Me too. xoxoxo

At 52, you are too old for the sugar coat? I am with you. Share what you know. To be honest, if you share what you feel is sexual, understand that it is different from pornographic. You would be someone I would like to sit down and talk life experience. Thank you, I will continue to follow you. In doing so, maybe I can learn also to understand myself at 61.

Oh wow, M. What a gorgeous note. You made me laugh out loud: "too old to sugar coat? I am with you." And thank you for this, "if you share what you feel is sexual, understand that it is different from pornographic." That felt so real and true and valid. And thank you so much for this, "You would be someone I would like to sit down and talk life experience...In doing so, maybe I can learn also to understand myself at 61." What a profound and moving compliment. Thank you thank you 🙏

Thank you. I felt heard not preached at. Understand that you will touch someone who hurts. They may not respond back so quickly, they may not respond back at all. Yet, I do think we work in the life of others, but we don’t know the full there of. That is the footprint that I think most people would like to leave. A legacy of sorts.

This too is so generous of you to share and wonderful to hear. And the rest of your comment: my sister and I were talking about this just yesterday, that you may never know how a piece affects someone, but that if we're true and honest, like you say, there is a footprint that we leave, whether others ever tell us or not. Thank you for that reminder and thank you for being one who lets me know. I deeply appreciate that. 🙏♥️

For years I lived in El Segundo and for years as I ran on the bike path and the strand I always looked to the water, hearing her call, speaking to the waves. Your absolutely gorgeous poem put me right back there, in the water, feeling the power of the waves, calming in the foam. Thank you so much for this poem and like everyone else appreciating the love here, more poems!

As always, thank you for your kind words, Steve. More poems! I keep thinking, I've always loved the short-short essay form, perhaps I'm also a poet? That feels so arrogant or presumptive. Funny, because I have no problem saying I'm a writer. But poet, that feels like another level entirely. Thank you so much for loving this piece and sharing your experience. I can picture it :) 💖🙏
