I read this piece when Jeannine posted it and I've been reading it ever since. Jocelyn, this is definitely one of the most beautiful things I've ever read and definitely one of the best you've ever written that I have read. There are so many wonderful, heartfelt details that I just linger on, letting the words carry me to other places, other times. The embodied writing is so, so rich and the journey of the bed and you is a captivating unfolding of heart and events. This is so wonderful, friend. Thank you so much for sharing.

Oh wow, Steve, thank you thank you thank you. Your words are lovely and generous. My heart is just so full that this piece resonated and that it was able to transport you to places in your own life. That seems to be a recurring theme, which is so wonderful, and goes back to how it started - with a couple of people reading the original snippet in Jeannine's thread and saying how much it took them back to good memories of childhood. That is so beautiful to me. Thank you for sharing what it meant to you and how you experienced it. 🙏

Thank you! Someone else posted a comment over on Jeannine's thread about what if we could know everything the bed has felt and seen? I often wonder that about objects, houses, cars, vases, all the things. So many stories there. xo

This is such a brilliantly, vulnerable piece, Jocelyn💛 That bed held so much. Interesting how your heart seemed to wake up once it was passed along. Thanks for sharing about such a precious part of your life🙏🏼
