Oh how I miss the bay and Tahoe the most beautiful place in the world. So happy that my daughters still live there so I get to visit a few times a year. Thanks for all the beautiful pictures and memories.
We are so lucky to know these places, aren't we Kathleen? Even when I feel sad that I don't live here fully time right now, I am still amazed that I get to see these places, be in their sacredness. Such a gift. ❤️
I have not seen Half Moon Bay since I was a very small child. The quick little glimpse you gave me just now brought back a whole flood of memories. Thank you friend!! Xoxo
Ooooh yay! You are so so welcome. I was hoping these photos would move each viewer differently. Do you remember your time in HMB? Were the memories good, bad, a mix? xoxox
Thanks for sharing these gorgeous pics. It thrilled me that I've been to every one of those places and, while it was not the home of my heart, I loved being there. Keep on having fun!
Squeee! I figured you'd like this post! So many places that are so near both our hearts. We headed up the coast to Point Reyes and Jenner and then spent some time in Point Reyes Station and Stinson Beach. It was incredible! I haven't been up that way since I was in my early 20s. I'll have more pics of that journey coming soon! xoxo
Both. It was actually my dad’s and I learned to drive in it when I was 15. I took lots of road trips in California in it. Such fun to drive. Not the easiest on some CA mountains and even big hills as it was stick shift.
According to my plant identification app, that gorgeous tree is a Flannel Bush (Fremontodendron californicum), also known as California Fremontia or California Flannelbush.
Love the photo essay - and god I love the sea lions!
Don't we just? They are one of my all time favorite animals and the sound of their calls just brings me back to myself.

Wonderful pictures of one of my favorite places! Thank you!!
Wheeee! I love that we both love these places! ❤️❤️❤️
This was a wonderful reminder of my time in those places...and of learning to drive in a VW van.
Oh I love this!! And I've never driven one, but I think it would be such a kick. xoxo
I loved it!
Where did you take it? On any road trips, or was it a daily driver or both?
